Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with the Numka app is:

ganzinvest ag
Lenzburgerstrasse 7
5103 Wildegg, Switzerland
E-mail: numka@solorba.com
Company ID (UID): CHE-156.482.976

Numka is published under Solorba, a label of ganzinvest ag. Solorba is not a separate company. Wherever this policy says "we" or "us", it always means ganzinvest ag.

Scope and principles

This policy applies to the Numka app in its Android version and its web version. Our websites are covered by the website privacy policy.

We process personal data under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our principle is simple: as little data as possible. Numka is a learning app for children and is therefore built so that the app itself sends no data to us or to anyone else – except for asking Google Play whether a Premium subscription is active.

What the app stores on the device

Numka stores the following information only locally on the device, in the storage of the app or the browser. We have no access to it:

  • A first name or nickname your child can enter at the start. It is optional and can be anything.
  • Learning progress: points, level, experience, streaks, achievements, daily statistics, statistics per table and the progress for each fact, including answer times.
  • A list of recently missed questions for weak-spot training.
  • The state of the virtual companion Numi and the items and themes bought with stars.
  • Settings such as language, difficulty, sound, volume, vibration and reduced motion.
  • With profiles for brothers and sisters (Premium): this information for each profile, plus a list of the profiles with name, avatar and animal.
  • The last known status of Numka Premium (active or not), so the app knows what is unlocked even when offline.

Numka does not collect contact details, location data, contacts, photos, device identifiers or advertising IDs.

No transfer, no analytics, no ads

  • The app itself does not connect to our servers or to anyone else's. The only exception is Numka Premium: through Google Play’s billing function on the device, the app asks whether a subscription exists and, on request, opens Google Play’s purchase dialog (see below).
  • The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising services.
  • Only Numka Premium can be bought with real money – through Google Play and behind a parental gate. The stars in the shop are earned by practising and have no monetary value.
  • Fonts and graphics are built into the app and are not loaded from outside providers.

Download and Numka Premium through Google Play

Numka is offered on Google Play; other app stores may follow. When you download the app or take out Numka Premium, Google processes data such as your account, the payment and the download under its own responsibility and its own privacy policy. We have no influence on this.

For Numka Premium the app uses Google Play’s billing function (Google Play Billing). On the device, the app asks whether a subscription exists for the Google account signed in there and only receives the answer whether it is active and renewing. Google handles purchase, payment, free trial, renewal and cancellation. Apart from this status, the app stores no purchase or account data and sends nothing to us.

We only receive the information Google provides for billing, accounting and statistics, such as order number, date, amount, and the country and region of the purchase. We do not see payment details. If you have allowed your device to share diagnostic data, Google also provides us with aggregated crash reports, which we use only to fix errors.

Backing up and transferring progress

In the app's settings, progress can be saved as a file or copied as a text code, for example to take it to a new device. You create and manage this backup yourself; we receive nothing. On Android, the file is saved in the location you choose. If you choose cloud storage, its provider transfers the file according to its own rules.

A backup contains the progress of all profiles on the device, including the chosen names, unencrypted. Please keep it where only you have access. Older password-encrypted backups can still be imported.

In addition, Numka allows Android's system backup. If device backup is switched on, Android may save the app data to your Google account and transfer it when you change devices. Whether and how this happens is decided by your device settings.

Web version of the app

When the web version of Numka is opened in a browser, the browser loads the program files from a web server. This creates technically necessary server logs, as described in the website privacy policy. After that, the web version runs entirely in the browser, just like the app; no progress is transferred.

Children

Numka is made for children of primary-school age. That is exactly why the app is built so that it does not send any data from the device itself: no registration, no sign-in, no ads and no social features. A parental gate protects the way to Numka Premium. The name entered is only used to address the child personally within the app and can be changed at any time.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you have questions, please contact us as a parent. If a child writes to us, we use the information only to reply.

Contact by e-mail or contact form

If you write to us at numka@solorba.com or use the contact form, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry. We do not pass them on for any other purpose. We keep them for as long as is necessary to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up questions, or as long as we have a legitimate interest in doing so – for example, to keep track of our correspondence – and as far as statutory retention obligations apply. At your request, we delete your details unless a statutory retention obligation prevents this. Details of the contact form are in the website privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

  • In the app: under Settings → Reset progress, with two confirmations, or by uninstalling the app or clearing the website data in the browser.
  • Profiles for brothers and sisters: in the settings under Profiles, using the ✕ next to the profile, after the parental gate.
  • Exported backups: in the place where they are stored, as we have no access to them.
  • Enquiries by e-mail or contact form: for as long as is necessary to deal with them and any follow-up questions, or as long as statutory retention obligations apply; at your request, we delete them unless a retention obligation prevents this.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict processing, to object, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time. Please contact us at the address above.

Please note: we have no access to the data the app stores locally. You can view, change or delete it yourself at any time.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU with the authority in your country of residence.

Changes

As Numka develops, we will update this policy. The version published here, with the date shown above, applies.
