Provider and scope

These terms apply to using the Numka app – in the free version and with Numka Premium. The provider is:

Numka is published under Solorba, a label of ganzinvest ag. Solorba is not a separate company; the contracting party is always ganzinvest ag.

The service

Numka is a learning app for the times tables with a virtual companion called Numi. It is available as a free version and with Numka Premium.

The free version currently includes rows 1 to 6 – in the quiz and in Connect too –, the dragon as a companion, the daily chest, the first four avatars and one theme in the shop. Numka Premium additionally unlocks all rows up to 12, all animals, the whole shop and up to five profiles for brothers and sisters. The current scope is described in the app and on the store page.

Further development of the app

We keep developing Numka – to improve the app, fix bugs and adapt it to new devices, operating systems and legal requirements. In doing so, its look, content, controls and individual features may change; features may be added, redesigned, replaced or removed. The core of the app – playful practice of the times tables – remains. There is no entitlement to a particular design or to individual features being retained.

Free version, Premium and subscription

You download Numka free of charge on Google Play; other app stores may follow. You take out Numka Premium in the app as a subscription through Google Play, currently for one year at a time. Google Play shows the price, term and renewal before you subscribe; billing is handled by Google Play. Google Play’s terms also apply to payment, invoicing, cancellation and refunds.

Free trial: If you take out Premium for the first time, you can try it free for 7 days, provided Google Play shows the offer. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is charged. If you do not cancel, the trial automatically turns into the paid yearly subscription when it ends, and the price shown is charged through Google Play. The trial is available only once per Google account. We may change the length and conditions of the trial for future subscriptions.

The subscription renews automatically under Google Play’s rules until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Google Play account; in the app, Settings › Numka Premium › Manage subscription takes you there. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term, and Premium stays active until then. Deleting the app does not end a subscription.

When Premium ends, you continue to use Numka within the scope of the free version. Progress, the current animal, animals raised to legend, created profiles and any avatars, designs and gadgets already obtained with stars are kept. Other animal species – including those obtained with stars – are paused: they remain owned and can be chosen again as soon as Premium is active. The remaining Premium content is locked again. If there are several profiles, only the first one can be played without Premium; the others stay saved.

We may change prices, the scope of the free version and of Premium, and the pricing model for the future, and introduce new offers. You will be notified in advance of any price change to a running subscription; it applies at the earliest from the next renewal, and you can cancel before then. Periods already paid for remain unaffected.

Apart from Numka Premium, there are no purchases with real money. The stars in the shop are earned solely by practising. They have no monetary value and cannot be bought, exchanged or paid out.

Right of use

You receive a simple, non-transferable and non-sublicensable right to use Numka – and, for the duration of your subscription, Numka Premium – for private, non-commercial purposes on the devices Google Play allows. Premium applies to the Google account used to take it out, including the profiles for brothers and sisters on a device. If a subscription ends, the scope of the free version applies again; your progress remains stored on your device.

You may not modify, decompile or redistribute the app or circumvent its protection, except where the law expressly permits it. For use in schools or organisations, please get in touch.

Use by children

Numka is made for children. Numka Premium is taken out, or approved, by a parent or another person with parental responsibility. In the app, the way to the subscription is protected by a parental gate: a sum that primary-school children usually cannot yet solve. Parents decide how long and how often their child uses the app.

Numka contains no chat or contact features and no ads. Inside the game, children pay with stars only.

Data and backups

Progress is stored only on your device. We have no access to it and cannot restore lost progress. Please use the app's backup feature, especially before changing devices. Details are in the privacy policy.

Availability and updates

We do everything we can to provide you with a high-quality, reliable product in Numka and test every version carefully. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee that it works without errors or interruptions at all times, nor that the app runs on every device and every future operating system version.

Numka requires Android 7.0 or later. Updates are provided through the store; we recommend installing them. We may no longer support older versions of the app.

Warranty

We make sure that Numka essentially works as described. If you find an error, please report it to numka@solorba.com so that we can fix it. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

Numka supports learning. We cannot promise a particular learning outcome or particular school grades.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory liability provisions, such as product liability law, remain unaffected.

Intellectual property

All rights to the app, its texts, graphics and sounds, and to the names Numka, Numi and Solorba belong to ganzinvest ag or its licensors.

Data protection

How we handle data is described in our Numka privacy policy. It forms part of these terms.

Changes

We may amend these terms with effect for the future, for example if the app, the pricing model or legal requirements change. The version published here applies. Periods already paid for and rights of use already acquired remain unaffected in their essence.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of ganzinvest ag in Möriken-Wildegg. Mandatory places of jurisdiction for consumers and mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.

Final provisions

If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
