How do I change the language?
In the settings under Language. Numka is available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Croatian.
How do I set the difficulty?
In the settings under Difficulty. You can choose Warm-up (no time limit), Speed (20 seconds), Pro (15 seconds) and Ninja (10 seconds per question). A change applies from the next round. When your child answers most questions confidently over several days – already at the pace of the next level – Numka suggests that level on its own.
How do I use things bought in the shop?
Purchases stay in the shop, marked "✅ Owned". Tap a bought avatar or design again to use it – whatever is active shows "✅ Equipped". Numi puts a gadget on right after you buy it; another tap takes it off, and the next one puts it back on. Boosters work straight after buying. A newly bought species is chosen on the Numi page with "Change species"; it then hatches from a new egg.
Why is Numi injured?
If too many open mistakes build up, Numi gets injured. The Numi page then shows the button Practice weak spots. Once your child completes this round of ten questions, Numi is healthy again. The round has no time pressure.
When does Numi need medicine?
Numi falls ill if it has not been fed or played with for a while – after three or four days without practice, for example. Then medicine helps. Your child earns it in the Classic Quiz or picks it as a reward in the reverse quiz. Children who practise regularly hardly ever need it.
Numi’s lines disappear too quickly
In the settings under Speech bubbles you can set how long Numi’s lines stay visible – between 3 and 20 seconds. Long lines automatically stay a little longer.
Can I turn off sound and vibration?
Yes, both can be switched off in the settings. You can also reduce motion and animations there.
Does Numka need an internet connection?
Not for practising: Numka works completely offline and has no server of its own. Only to take out Premium or check the subscription status does Google Play briefly need a connection.
How do I move progress to a new device?
On the old device, open the settings (gear icon, top right) and, under Save data, tap Save file or Copy code. On the new device, open the same place and choose Load file – or paste the code and tap Redeem code.
Keep backups safe: anyone who has one can restore the progress.
The backup contains all profiles on this device; loading it replaces all profiles on the new device. Older backups with a single save go into the profile that is currently active. Premium is not part of the backup: it belongs to your Google account and is recognised automatically on the new device. If you load Premium content without active Premium, nothing is lost – everything is back as soon as Premium is active.
How do I reset progress?
In the settings under Reset progress. Two confirmations prevent accidental deletion. Afterwards, Numka starts again from zero. With several profiles, this only affects the active profile; Premium stays as it is.
Can brothers and sisters play with their own progress?
Yes, with Premium. In the Profile tab, top right under Profiles, you switch the child or add a new profile – up to five. Each child has their own animal, their own stars and their own progress. Only someone who solves the parental gate in the settings under Profiles can delete a profile.
What is free, and what does Premium cost?
Numka is free to download. Free with no time limit: rows 1 to 6 – in the quiz and in Connect too –, the dragon as a companion, the daily chest, the first four avatars and one theme in the shop.
Numka Premium unlocks everything: all rows up to 12, all animals, the whole shop and profiles for brothers and sisters. You can try Premium free for 7 days. After that it continues as a yearly subscription; Google Play shows the price in your currency before you subscribe. The subscription renews automatically every year.
Inside the game your child never pays with real money: the shop only takes stars collected through practice. In the app, the way to the subscription leads through a sum meant for adults.
Why is Numka Premium a subscription?
Numka shows no ads, has no trackers and sells no data – progress stays on the device. To keep it that way, the subscription pays for looking after the app and for new content: updates for new Android versions, bug fixes and ideas from families’ feedback. Rows 1 to 6 stay free for good; Premium can be tried free for 7 days and cancelled at any time in the Google Play Store.
What happens when Premium ends?
Your child carries on with the free version. Progress, the current animal, animals raised to legend, all profiles and the avatars, designs and gadgets bought with stars are kept. Other species – including those bought with stars – are paused: they still belong to your child and can be chosen again as soon as Premium is active. Rows 7 to 12 and the Premium items in the shop are locked again. With several profiles, only the first one plays without Premium; the others stay saved and are back straight away with Premium.
How do I cancel Premium?
In the Google Play Store: tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, choose Numka and cancel there. In the app, Settings › Numka Premium › Manage subscription takes you straight there.
If you cancel during the 7 free days, nothing is charged. After cancelling, Premium stays active until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting the app does not end the subscription.
Do I need an account for Premium?
No, you do not need an account with us. The subscription runs through the Google account you use to take it out on Google Play; Numka knows neither your name nor your e-mail address.
On a new device with the same Google account, Numka recognises Premium automatically. If it does not, tap Restore purchase under Settings › Numka Premium.
Does Numka collect data about my child?
No. The name and progress stay on the device, with Premium too: Google Play handles purchase and payment, and the app only asks it whether the subscription is active. Details are in the privacy policy.
Is Numka available for iPhone and iPad?
Numka is coming to Android first. A version for iPhone and iPad on the App Store is currently being looked into. As soon as there is news, you will find it here.
